January, 1938, the legendary concert that made Benny Goodman the most celebrated jazz bandleader of his day. Leading a band of musicians including Harry James, Ziggy Elman, Gene Krupa, Teddy Wilson, Lionel Hampton, Johnny Hodges and Count Basie, Benny Goodman played music ranging from “Honeysuckle Rose” to “Sing, Sing, Sing.”

Such an honor performing with the great Terry Myers Orchestra in the Salute to Benny Goodman at Carnegie Hall. Martha Tilton, Benny’s vocalist on this Epic night in 1938, sang her hit song, AND THE ANGELS SING. Not only did I get to sing her hit song but the response and love for this music from the crowds of fans in the audience was overwhelming! Martha recorded over 80 songs with Benny Goodman and to be chosen to recreate that Night in history where Jazz was introduced to the sophisticated music crowd...well.... I couldn’t be more thrilled! The world renowned McCallum Theater in Palm Springs, CA continues to be on top of my FAVORITE list!

The 1491 seat theater, Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts gained it’s reputation as one of the leading arts centers in Orange County, California. The theater packed the house recreating the “Night at Carnegie Hall with the Salute to the Benny Goodman Orchestra!” It will continued to be another highlight of my career! Performing with the Terry Myers Orchestra along with THE INK SPOTS stirred the memories of so many well known tunes that Jazz fans crave!
I loved the flowers and the accolades that I was honored with from so many fans! Oh what a night! Can’t wait to come back!
